Mount Oliphant
As often happens, things pop into a person’s mind without any prompting. This occurred to me today and it just seemed right to share. It is not common knowledge that Robert Burns, the renowned Scottish poet, lived and worked for a short time on the farm known as Mount Oliphant.
Along with this recollection, the name of Lady Nairn (nee Oliphant) came to mind. Some of her songs and prose have been attributed to Robert Burns but her works are preserved with the deserving recognition.
